Description
This set of two A5 lined notebooks features restored vintage color theory illustrations drawn from 19th-century reference books on watercolor painting and ornithology. Sized to slip easily into a bag, each notebook includes 100 lined pages, a matt finish cover, and a fabric spine for everyday note-taking, lists, or sketching.
One cover reproduces a color chart from an 1805 guide to painting landscapes in watercolor, while the other adapts bird color swatches created by ornithologist Robert Ridgway in 1886 to standardize color names for naturalists. The notebooks are housed together in a printed card slipcase, giving the set a more finished feel for gifting or desk storage.
