We are delighted to present this range of GRÁ handcrafted Irish Hallmarked Sterling Silver Jewellery. This range has been crafted using the many celtic knots and symbols from our ancient past in celebration of our rich heritage.
The Claddagh design originates from Galway in the 17th Century. The design features 3 elements which symbolize the qualities of a perfect relationship: Love (the heart shape), Friendship (the hands) and Loyalty (the crown).
The Claddagh ring is quite unique as its significance can change depending how it is worn.
1. Single: When the ring is worn on the right hand with the heart facing outward from your body
2. In a Relationship: When the ring is worn on the right hand with the heart facing inwards
3. Engaged: When the ring is worn on the left hand on the third finger with the heart pointing outwards
4. Wedding: When the ring on the left hand on the third finger with the heart pointing inwards
