Let’s be honest, Guinness is far more popular than Murphy’s in Ireland. However, musical duo the Cheeky Girls did make it to number two in the UK Song Charts with ‘Touch my Bum’ in 2002. They sold more singles than Elton Johns seminal hit ‘Your Song’ that year.
Stay with me! As a proud Corkman and connoisseur of Murphy’s, I am not saying that Guinness is the stout equivalent of the Cheeky Girls! I would never be that insulting… I have far too much respect from those Romanian national treasures. ?
