| Our Lobster Trap or Pot as it is often called charm is crafted in the USA of Sterling silver. The lobster potris used by fishermen to catch New England lobsters. Lured by fish trimmings secured on a bait spike in the traprthe lobster enters the netted funnel-like “head”. Once through this gateway, slanted to hamper escape, the scavenger finds itselfrin the “kitchen”, where the bait rests. Soon it seeks a way out to a second opening, sealing the lobster’s fate by leading it intorthe “parlor”, a baitless rear chamber. Thus the kitchen remains a magnet for yet other unsuspecting victims. |
